We will explore the world of amateur Bee-keeping! Cassie Coleman has been bee-keeping right here in Berrien County for over 5 years. While always having an interest in nature, her love of bees blossomed after an agriculture class in high school. Knowing her neighbors had kept bees in the past, they were able to provide her with much of the basic equipment and Cassie’s passion has progressed from there! She will discuss what honey bees do, what they make, where they live and what we can do to help honey bees. There will also “bee” an opportunity to build a “Bee Hotel” for native bees after the presentation (Great for kids and adults). $3 per/vehicle or free with a Berrien County Parks Permit.
