    4. Authorized Users - Basic Terms of Use
      You are requesting access to a Berrien County MI Government information system, which includes this computer, this computer network, all computers connected to this network, and all devices and/or storage media attached to this network or to a computer on this network. This information system is provided for Berrien County Government-authorized use only. Unauthorized or improper use of this system may result in disciplinary action, and civil and criminal penalties. By making a request to use and when using this information system, you understand and consent to the following: You have no reasonable expectation of privacy regarding any communications transmitted through or data stored on this information system. At any time, the government may monitor, intercept, search and/or seize data transiting or stored on this information system. Any communications transmitted through or data stored on this information system may be disclosed or used for any County of Berrien, MI-authorized purpose. You are also certifying that you have an authorized need to access this system. The system is intended to share emergency plans with administrators and responders with emergency response members of the community's public body. Authorized agencies are those that are governmental emergency public safety agencies and any organization that has a written agreement to assist those agencies during emergencies and disasters in Berrien County MI. By submitting this application you authorize the County of Berrien to verify your identity, employment status, and validate your need for access from your employer. You also authorize your current employer to release information about you and your employment status to us. These terms shall continue and remain valid while you have access to this system. Your agreement to these terms will remain valid through the duration of your access and will only expire after you request removal from the system or are revoked access by the County of Berrien.
