1. Where is Records located and what are your hours?

Our primary location is at 919 Port Street, St. Joseph, Michigan. The St. Joseph Records lobby is lobby is open Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., by appointment only. Appointments can be made by emailing the Sheriff Records Department or by calling 269-983-7141, extension 7211.

The Niles Sub-station office is located at 1205 North Front Street, Niles, Michigan 49120. 

The Records Bureau at the Sheriff's Office is closed on all County holidays.  We apologize for your inconvenience.

2. How much does it cost to get copies of reports?

Accident reports - $10.00

Incident Reports - A FOIA Request needs to be filed and price is based on length of report.

3. Can I get an accident report online?

4. How can I get fingerprinted?

CPL fingerprints will be done (by appointment only) Tuesday through Friday.  The fee for fingerprinting is $15.00.  CPL applications need to be turned in to the County Clerk’s Office prior to fingerprinting.  Records will need the receipt from the County Clerk’s Office and valid Michigan I.D.

5. Can I get a copy of someone else's arrest records?

Yes.  Anyone can request someone else’s arrest records under FOIA. 

6. Can I find out if I'm wanted?

Yes.  The best way to find out if you have a valid warrant is to appear in person to any local police department with I.D.   We cannot verify your identity over the phone.
