This is D/Lt. Fred Laesch of the Berrien County Sheriff’s Department for Crime Stoppers. The crime of the week comes from the files of the St. Joseph City Department of Public Safety.
On February 27, 2018 at approximately 10:27 PM the St. Joseph City Dept. of Public Safety responded to the Marathon gas station located at 2805 Niles Ave., City of St. Joseph in reference to a robbery. A white male subject entered the gas station wearing a black ski mask, brown Carhartt band jacket, and black Aero brand sweatpants with white lettering. The suspect was also armed with a black handgun. The suspect demanded US currency from the cashier, then fled the business on foot in an unknown direction.
