CLOSED TO ALL TRAFFIC STARTING THE WEEK OF 9/11/2023

LOCATION: Snow Road from the Garr Road intersection to Red Bud Trail
CLOSEST CITIES: Berrien Springs, Baroda
PROJECT START DATE: Tuesday, September 5, 2023
END DATE: November 2023
PROJECT: Snow Road will be experiencing a road reconstruction. Contractors will be working to lower two hills and straighten Snow Road where existing S-curve is located. Road reconstruction will include drainage upgrades, drainage relocation; and roadway being crushed, shaped, trenched and widened with an asphalt overlay.
Traffic Restrictions Update #1: Snow Road will be closed to all thru traffic starting on 9/5/2023. Starting the week of 9/11/2023, the Garr Road intersection will be closed to all traffic. Work will be taking place on both sides of Snow Road and the Garr Road intersection to pulverize roadway surface, complete grading related work, and begin construction activities to lower a hill.
DETOUR ROUTE: Burgoyne Road to Shawnee Road to Red Bud Trail
- Work schedule is weather and contractor permitting.
- Local traffic is advised to reduce speeds when traveling through work zones.
- Watch out for construction workers and equipment.
- Thru traffic is expected to use the detour route or seek alternative routes.
- Starting the week of 9/11/2023:
- Garr Road intersection will be closed to all traffic at Snow Road
- Snow Road will be closed to all traffic at Garr Road
