PROJECT: Roads in Bainbridge, Sodus and Baroda Township(s) receiving a “scratch and seal” resurfacing treatment are being paved this month. Later in the 2023 construction season, Road Department staff will sealcoat over the new asphalt layer or “scratch course” layer of hot mix asphalt.

Roadway pavement preparation in the form of milling pavement joints (at above listed road locations) will begin Thursday, 4/13/2023. Once road pavement has been milled, the contractor will work to schedule paving operations. Milling and paving operations are contractor and weather permitting and schedule may change without notice. 

TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS: Single lane closures to be expecting when work is taking place. Traffic restrictions are subject to contractor work schedule. 

• Expect possible travel delays. Anticipate lane closures and traffic controlled by flaggers.
• Stopping should be expected.
• Remember to reduce speeds when traveling through work zones. 
• Watch out for construction workers and equipment.
