Update
Updated August 12th, 10:00 AM
Indiana Michigan Power has worked hard to get power restored in Southwest Berrien County and we were fortunate to not have additional power outages with the storms that came through late afternoon and evening yesterday. We still have a little over 500 customers without power in the New Buffalo Township area and we are hoping those customers get power restored throughout the day. Since the majority of Berrien County Residents have had their power restored, we will be shifting our focus to damage assessment and clean up.
For individuals who have lost food during this power outage there are resources available through the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS). Individuals may call (844) 464-3447 for more information regarding this resource. If residents are in need of help with clean-up they are requested to contact 2-1-1.
Report Disaster Damage
For individuals who have experienced damage due to the flooding, the Report Disaster Damage Form is available.
