Countywide scratch and seal projects are underway by our contractor. Contractor will be working to prepare locations by prepping or milling butt joints for future paving operation. A contractor paver will be applying a corrective layer of asphalt on top of the existing road surface. Later this year the BCRD sealcoating team will then sealcoat over this area to provide protective structure to newly added asphalt. As information is updated, we will provide further anticipated dates. The contractor along with Road Department staff are working as efficiently as possible to complete these improvement activities. The contractor during joint milling (preparation) and paving operation will maintain one lane of traffic, traffic will be maintained by traffic control flaggers. The public should anticipate possible travel delays or seek alternative routes when crews are working. All dates are weather and contractor permitting.*
