PROJECT: A utility contractor will be doing work on the Napier Avenue Bridge over the St Joseph River. Work taking place is in preparation for the Road Department’s bridge project set to take place in 2021. As a result, there will be a temporary lane reconfiguration for traffic along Napier Avenue between Langley Avenue and Miami Road. All traffic will be routed to the eastbound lanes, separated by traffic control devices.
Traffic Restrictions: During construction, Napier Avenue will have one lane of traffic permitted in each direction between Langley Avenue and Miami Road beginning the week of 2/1/2021. Both eastbound and westbound traffic will be split in the two lanes normally carrying eastbound traffic over the Napier Avenue Bridge.
Work is estimated to take approximately two weeks to complete. Expect possible travel delays.
Remember to reduce speeds when traveling through work zones.
Watch out for construction workers and equipment.
