Oversized Load Information

FINAL SUPER LOAD ALONG JOHN BEERS ROAD

TOWNSHIP: Lincoln Township & Royalton Township
LOCATION: John Beers Road, between I-94 and M-139
CLOSEST CITIES: Stevensville
FIRST TRAVEL DATE: Tuesday, July 21st 2020

LAST TRAVEL DATE: Monday, September 21st 2020*

OVERSIZED LOAD TRANSPORTATION: Drivers should expect the final load to travel along John Beers Road on Monday. The final generator component will be transported through Berrien County to the Niles Gas Power Plant. This super load will result in stopping or slowing traffic along their route. The load is expected to be traveling eastbound between approximately 11am and 1pm on Monday, September 21, 2020.

TRAFFIC RESTRICTIONS: John Beers Road between I-94 to M-139 will see temporary closures for super load moves. These oversized loads move very slowly and will take up both lanes of John Beers Road. Be prepared for possible delays and temporary closures to occur between I-94 and M-139 while trailer is being transported EB along John Beers Road.

Pilot vehicles will be escorting the oversized loads and state law enforcement will be assisting with traffic control during operation. The Road Department advises that any motorists or public in the area during these moves to drive cautiously and heed all directions from law enforcement and road escorts.

We thank everyone for their patience this summer during these oversized moves.
