The Berrien County Parks Commission is seeking public comment on applying for 2 Michigan Natural Resources Trust Fund grants in 2020. The Commission plans to seek a land acquisition grant to expand Madeline Bertrand County Park in Niles and a development grant to begin Phase II at Paw Paw River County Park in Watervliet. Citizens who wish to comment are asked to attend a public meeting Thursday, February 27th, 2020 at 8:35 a.m. at the Berrien County Administration Center, 701 Main Street, St. Joseph MI. These grants could benefit the citizens of Berrien County by enhancing water trails, expanding walking/hiking trail systems, and providing additional recreation opportunities.
