[ARCHIVED] Become a Citizen Scientist and register for Love Creek FrogWatch volunteer training.

Become a Citizen Scientist and register for Love Creek FrogWatch volunteer training.

Help protect local amphibians and wetlands by listening to frog calls! Come to Love Creek County Park and Nature Center and learn to be a FrogWatch citizen scientist!

During FrogWatch training at Love Creek, you'll learn about frog calls and the tools necessary for tracking each species. Then take the skills you learn with you to record frog calls independently! Although it is a family-friendly project, we ask that only adults or older children attend the training.

FrogWatch ...only takes 5 minutes of recording to complete each time. These recordings can substantially help researchers understand the scope of amphibian population decline and look for ways to prevent it.

Each participant needs to attend one training on either March 30th or April 4th, 2019. Each training is up to 2 hours long and includes a PowerPoint presentation, review, and exam. The exam can be taken multiple times if needed.

After Clicking the "Going" tab, please send email to Love Creek at: [email protected] Please provide your name, email you would like information sent to, and which session you plan to attend.  Space is limited and will be announced on event page when full.
