The Wireless Emergency Alert System is tested monthly unless a real event is occurring where the test might confuse people. We try to set it off as close to 3PM as we can, but it may be delayed to at least 4PM depending upon what is going on in the 911 center. We may test the system at times that are not scheduled, but this monthly test exists to ensure people know what time they should expect to get a test alert regularly. The WEA test function must be enabled on your device.
