Foster Youth Activity Fund
Berrien County offers jurors the option of donating their stipend to the Berrien County Foster Youth Activity Fund. This fund enables foster youth to participate in beneficial activities such as sports, camps, and music lessons. It gives them opportunities for personal development that they would not have otherwise. Your contribution may be tax-deductible! Contact your Jury Clerk for information on how to make a donation.
Donations are always welcome, needed, and appreciated.
Material donations may include:
- Cleaning Supplies
- Cleaning Towels
- Dog Food
- Kitten/Puppy Chow
Cash donations will go toward the building fund, medical supplies, medical care, care and upkeep of the animal. Give the Animal Control office a call at 269-471-7531 for more information.
Berrien County Health Department
The Health Department can receive tax deductible contributions for any of its programs through a designated fund at the Berrien Community Foundation.
Berrien County Parks
The Berrien County Parks Fund is an endowment fund that was established in 1988 to help the Berrien County Parks Commission take advantage of special opportunities that may arise in the future. Examples could include the acquisition of new park properties, the construction or improvement of facilities at existing County Parks, or the development of new programs. The fund is managed by the Berrien Community Foundation, so contributions may qualify donors for both a Federal Income Tax Deduction and a Michigan Community Foundation Income Tax Credit. For more information, contact the Parks Department at 269-983-7111, ext. 8435.
Berrien Community Foundation
If it is more convenient for you, you may also work directly through the Berrien Community Foundation to assign donations to the Berrien County service of your choice. Berrien Community Foundation is a non-profit organization that is not part of Berrien County Government. For information on this type of donation, please visit their website.
