Biography
Bob Harrison serves the residents of Berrien County's 7th District.
District 7 includes:
- Village of Stevensville (Lincoln Township Precinct 6)
- Lincoln Township Precincts 1, 2, 3, 4, 6

Education, Service, & Experience
Dr. Robert (Bob) Harrison was president of Lake Michigan College from 2009 to 2017. Prior to being named president, he served the College, starting in 1999 as dean of Community and Business Services, dean of Occupational Studies, and executive dean of LMC's Bertrand Crossing Campus in Niels, and with administrative oversight of the College's workforce contracts with the Berrien-Call-Van Buren and Kalamazoo/St. Joseph County Michigan Works agencies. Before joining LMC, Bob worked in the health care industry for 30 years. He was chief operating officer at Lakeland Regional Health System and was also president and chief executive officer of Pawating Hospital in Niles. He came to Niles in 1980 and was named president of Pawating in 1985. Following the merger with Mercy Memorial Medical Center to form Lakeland in 1992, he was named chief operating officer for the three-hospital system.
Bob holds a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership with an emphasis in Organizational Analysis from Western Michigan University. He also holds a Masters in Business Administration degree from Temple University, and a bachelor's degree in Political Science and Business Administration from WMU.
In 2007, Bob was recognized with the Margaret B. Upton Volunteer Leadership Award for his significant contributions to the community. His community involvement includes past service on the boards of the United Way of Southwest Michigan, Berrien County Brownfield Authority, the Volunteer Center for Southwest Michigan, Berrien County Council for Children, the YMCA of Benton Harbor/St. Joe, and the Hospice at Home Board, an organization for which he was one of the founders. He is currently the Vice President of the Berrien Community Foundation, the Chairperson of the Pokagon Tribal Health Advisory Board, and board member of the Strategic Leadership Council.
