Marriage Ceremonies

The 5th District Court Judges and Magistrates may perform marriage ceremonies for the general public who live in the Court's jurisdiction. 

Required Information

You must provide the following information when scheduling your wedding ceremony:

  • Full name of both applicants
  • Desired wedding date
    (Before expiration date of marriage license)
  • Daytime telephone number of either applicant

Scheduling a Ceremony

IMPORTANT: Before scheduling a ceremony you must have already applied for your marriage license. Ceremonies must be scheduled after the 3-day license waiting period. Click here for more information about the application process and to fill out an application.

Ceremonies are held on Thursdays and Fridays at 3:30pm and 3:45pm. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to your appointment to complete necessary paperwork.

Wedding Day

On the day, you will need to bring the following:

  • Marriage License and two envelopes obtained from Berrien County Clerk’s Office
  • Two witnesses
  • $10 marriage fee
  • Driver's license or passport for both applicants and both witnesses
