Accident Reconstruction
The Accident Reconstruction Team is used to investigate serious injury and fatal motor vehicle crashes.

Bomb Team
The Bomb Team responds to unstable/hazardous commercial explosives, military ordinances, VIP protection detail requests, conducts post-blast investigations involving evidence collection, interviews, reconstruction and court testimony.

The Crime Scene Investigation Team is made up of specially trained deputies who are sent to investigate crime scenes.

The Crisis Negotiation Team is made up of specially trained deputies who through their training attempt to deflate a potentially volatile situation by using communication skills.

The Berrien County Sheriff's EMHSD is responsible for coordinating the management of emergencies and homeland security matters in Berrien County.

Hazardous Materials
The Berrien County Hazmat team was formed in 1981, in response to a tragic train derailment in Berrien County that resulted in the death of a Michigan State Police Trooper.
