Biography
Commissioner Wuerfel is a lifelong resident of Berrien County and has been a business owner in the district she serves for the past 20 years.
District 6 includes:
- Lincoln Charter Township Precinct 5
- Royalton Township
- St. Joseph Charter Township, Precincts 3, 4
- Benton Charter Township Precinct 3
Committee Service
She serves on the Administration Committee. She also serves on the:
- Parks & Recreation Commission
- Southwest Michigan Community Action Agency
- MAC Health & Human Services
- MAC Agriculture & Tourism
- Public Safety Communications Center Operations Committee
- Friends of Berrien County Trails
Education, Service & Experience
In addition to her business interests, Wuerfel served as President of the Executive Professional Women’s Association (EPWA), a SCORE Mentor and a member of the SJ/BH Rotary Club. She also has policy development experience with the Michigan Department of Agriculture & Rural Development (MDARD). She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Administration from Ferris State University and an M.B.A. from Western Michigan University.
Wuerfel successfully owned and operated four businesses, including Mosquito Squad, Cleaning Authority, Renew Crew and Balloon Heaven. Prior to being an entrepreneur she worked at Whirlpool Corporation and All Phase Electric.
She resides in Royalton Township and is looking forward to serving the residents of her district and all of Berrien County.
