Family Division

Berrien County COURTHOUSE, 3RD and 4TH FLOOR

The Family Division hears cases involving juvenile delinquency, abuse and neglect of children, estates of deceased persons, probating wills, commitments of persons alleged to be mentally ill, protection of legally incapacitated persons, adoptions, personal protection orders, divorce, custody and paternity.

Adoption Services

Assists with all adoption filings in Berrien County.

Our mission is to provide a safe, secure, structured environment for male and female youth within a family setting that will nurture them and enable them to reach their highest potential.

Juvenile Court

The Juvenile Court handles Juvenile Delinquency cases, Juvenile Probation, and Child Protective proceedings.

Juvenile Center

The mission of of the Berrien County Juvenile Center is to have significant, positive, and corrective impact upon the youth in our care.

Probate Court

The mission of the Berrien County Probate Court is to secure the sound and efficient resolution of matters within an accessible and person-centered venue where every individual is treated with dignity and respect.
