Administration
The County Administrator is appointed by the Berrien County Board of Commissioners to implement board policies; to oversee the daily activities of the County, to serve as the Chief Administrative Officer and as the Chief Financial Officer, and to supervise the appointed department heads within the County.

Animal Control
Berrien County Animal Control provides services in the manner of an animal shelter and the administration/law enforcement of animal affairs.

The Self-Help Legal Resource Center is designed to make information and forms more readily available to those who wish to represent themselves in court proceedings. Although legal advice cannot be given, staff and volunteers are pleased to assist patrons with the procedural steps involved in filing court documents.

Sheriff's Office
The Sheriff is the chief executive charged with law enforcement and the preservation of peace within the County. He has custody of the jail and of the prisoners lodged within. He must promote domestic tranquility in the County, is the court officer of the Circuit Court and must serve all writs, processes and warrants and make proper return thereof.

The Michigan Supreme Court has designated the Berrien County Courts as a consolidation site for the merger of the District Court, Probate Court and Circuit Court into a single Trial Court.
