Trails at both parks are groomed with consistency and commitment and ski rentals are available. Trails are open during regular park hours - and for scheduled night ski events at Madeline Bertrand. Call anytime for an update on current trail conditions or check the news section at the top of our website homepage. Both parks also maintain Facebook pages where trail condition updates are posted.
Please note that dogs and sleds are not allowed on our groomed ski trails.
Madeline Bertrand features three miles of level to gently rolling trails through pine and oak forests and along a bluff overlooking the St. Joseph River. Skiers may also explore trails in adjacent St. Patrick's County Park in Indiana with the purchase of their Berrien County Parks Daily Trail Permit. For trail maps and directions, download a copy of our Winter Trail Guide.
Love Creek offers five miles of open trails and challenging wooded slopes and turns. In addition to tracks for "traditional" skiing, many trails at Love Creek include a groomed lane for cross-country ski skating.
Take a look at a couple fun GoPro video clips recorded on our trails by our good friend Joe Dits of the South Bend Tribune:
