  1. Extended Siren Testing

    September 21, 2020 - September 25, 2020

    The sirens will be tested over the next 2 weeks, beginning the week of September 14th, 2020. Each siren within the 10-mile radius around the Cook Nuclear Plant will be tested individually, running for about 30 seconds at a time. Testing will be conducted between Monday through Friday, between 8 am and 6 pm. If you notice a siren that is damaged or not working, report it immediately to the Berrien County Emergency Management Office at (269) 983-7111 ext. 4915.   2. Berrien Birding Outing

    Join us and explore the birding potential Paw Paw River County Park in Watervliet. A pedestrian bridge across the Paw Paw River provides access to an island with a loop trail and river overlooks. This site has good potential forwarblers and other land bird migrants in spring and fall. Afterwards we can we can decide as a group where to head next. (Meet in the parking lot. The park is located on the east side of N Main St. (M-140) in Watervliet, on the south side of the Paw Paw River). Please register to join us.
