Berrien County Register of Deeds is accepting documents submitted electronically (eRecording).
eRecording delivers documents electronically to the Register of Deeds office rather than by delivery service or in person. In a similar manner, any rejection of the document or the recorded document is returned electronically. While eDocuments may be submitted any time and are noted as such, the eDocument will be processed during regular Register of Deeds office hours. The Register of Deeds electronically records all document types except for court certified documents including death certificates.
The “eDocument” is treated in the same manner as a paper document, reviewed for recording requirements and, provided the requirements are met, receipted, indexed and verified.
