Love Creek winds its way through this rolling 200-acre natural area outside of Berrien Springs, Michigan. Six miles of hiking trails provide access to a variety of habitats, including a mature Beech-Maple forest with spectacular spring wildflowers.
Love Creek Now Dog Friendly! For at least a one year trial period you’ll be able to hike with your hound on many of the great trails at Love Creek. We’re giving this a try to avoid confusion between parks (Madeline Bertrand trails have long been open to leashed dogs) and because we know many folks will only hike where they can take their dogs. Rules are simple: dogs must be leashed and waste must be picked up. Don’t be that dog hiker that ruins it for all. Please follow these rules and we’ll hope to make this a permanent thing!
The Berrien County Parks Commission's naturalist service is based here and activities are available throughout the year.
Click here for information about some of the school group programs offered by the Love Creek staff. Many of these can be modified or adapted for other groups as well. Call us for more information!
Love Creek offers outstanding cross-country skiing opportunities with groomed trails and ski rentals available.
The Fields & Forests Bike Trail also provides cyclists with access to a 4.5 mile beginning to intermediate level mountain bike trail from spring through fall and this winter we'll be grooming a 3 mile fat tire Snow Bike trail!
